Formatting a traffic accident through the 'Diia' app
In Ukraine, there is now an option to format traffic accidents through the 'Diia' app. This innovation, announced by Oleksiy Honcharenko, is a result of a decision made by the Cabinet. According to the new rules, the electronic notification submitted by participants in the accident has the same legal force as a traditional paper document.
Conditions for formatting a traffic accident through 'Diia'
However, formatting a traffic accident through 'Diia' is only possible under certain conditions:
- Only two cars should be involved in the accident.
- There should be no injuries — the situation should concern only damaged vehicles.
- All participants must agree on the circumstances of the accident.
- Both drivers must have valid OSCP policies.
- Drivers must not be under the influence of alcohol.
Thus, this innovation simplifies the process of recording road incidents for drivers in Ukraine.
This innovation is an important step in the digitization of public services in Ukraine, as it allows for a reduction in bureaucracy and speeds up the process of registering road incidents. Simplifying the procedure for recording traffic accidents may also reduce the burden on the traffic police, as participants have the opportunity to resolve the situation independently without the need for law enforcement involvement.
