Weather Forecast for Ukraine and Europe
According to forecaster Natalka Didenko, a severe heatwave is set to hit Western Europe. Temperatures in France and Spain are expected to climb to +40°C and above. In contrast, Ukraine is not facing such extreme heat. The meteorologist shared her outlook on social media, noting that the scorching conditions will affect nearly all European nations except those in Scandinavia. France and Spain are predicted to bear the brunt of the heat.
On June 22, most regions of Ukraine will see temperatures between +25°C and +29°C, with localized rises up to +30°C. Brief rain showers and thunderstorms are forecast for the western and northern areas, as well as Cherkasy and Poltava regions, while evening storms may reach Kharkiv. No significant precipitation is expected elsewhere in the country. In Kyiv, Monday could also hit +30°C, accompanied by possible short-lived rain and thunder.
Didenko remarked: 'The heat will stop right at our borders and won't dare to cross them.'

She also emphasized: 'Let's appreciate our wonderful Ukrainian climate—the fierce Western heat is not a threat to us. At least, not yet.' For those currently outside Ukraine or planning a trip to Europe, the forecaster advises preparing in advance to shield against excessive temperatures. Didenko warned that due to the heat, even a light rain can quickly turn into a brief but intense downpour. She also recommended wearing wide-brimmed hats without hesitation and always carrying a bottle of water.
