The U.S. Department of Justice has released a trove of documents related to the late financier and convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. On January 30, the Justice Department made public a massive batch of files pertaining to Epstein, who was a convicted sex trafficker. In response, Donald Trump emphasized that the Department's review of these documents revealed no basis for a probe into his involvement with Epstein.

Trump also noted that the Justice Department announced the release of three million pages of documents. He added that the situation was interesting because it allegedly revealed that Epstein conspired against him with author Michael Wolff to ensure his election loss.
Furthermore, the Epstein files reveal that aides linked to Russian entities were in correspondence with him. Specifically, Roman Chukov, an assistant director of the Russian fund Roscongress, and Maria Drokova, a former coordinator for the pro-Kremlin movement 'Nashi', had contact with Epstein. This adds a new international dimension to the already complex case surrounding Epstein and his network.
