In the remote sector, a rendition of the hit 'Yavorina' was arranged by the fans to honor the memory of the famous artist and composer, Stepan Giga, who passed away on December 12 in Lviv. This song was written by poet Stepan Haliabarda after the death of Nazariy Yaremchuk in 1995. Initially, it was titled 'In the Paradise Garden', but thanks to Hiza, it became one of the most famous in Ukraine and is remembered in the singer's repertoire.
The tragedy spread deep sorrow throughout Ukraine. People's Artist Stepan Giga was known for his songs that united the people. His friends and colleagues share memories of the great artist who left this world. The farewell ceremony took place on December 14, and the funeral was held the next day, during which hundreds of fans gathered to honor the memory of the great artist.
