The Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO Ukraine), together with the government of Germany, has focused on the digitization of the forest cadastre in Ukraine. This initiative involves providing technical equipment to the state enterprise 'Ukrderzhlisproekt'.
Among the equipment already received as part of this project are two vehicles for working in forest areas, six workstations for processing geoinformation data and preparing maps of forest areas. This will help improve the collection and analysis of information and contributes to the digital development of the forest cadastre.
Thanks to this support, Ukraine will strengthen institutional capacity in the forestry sector, helping to ensure sustainable forest management and support long-term reforms. Moreover, this brings Ukraine closer to European standards.
