Ukrzaliznytsia has received 18 gas-piston power plants in containers
Ukrzaliznytsia has received 18 gas-piston power plants delivered in containers for 21.6 million euros. This purchase was organized by the Energy Support Fund of Ukraine with funds from the United Kingdom through the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO).
According to a representative of Ukrzaliznytsia: 'Uninterrupted energy supply is of utmost importance, especially during wartime, when it is critically important to have a sustainable and efficient infrastructure. These new power plants will provide our company with 41.4 MW of generating capacity and make our work even more reliable and resilient amidst Russian threats.'
The Fund's work continues to help meet the needs of the country's energy infrastructure.
Results of the Fund's Work
The Energy Support Fund of Ukraine has successfully financed various projects totaling 669 million euros, concluding 790 contracts and implementing projects in 21 regions of the country. Unfortunately, due to financial difficulties related to the approaching heating season, it is necessary to attract another 600 million euros to ensure energy security.
The Secretariat of the Energy Community calls on donors to increase their contributions to ensure winter preparation together with Ukrainian energy companies and the Ministry of Energy.
