Ukrainian Entrepreneurs Eligible for Energy Resilience Grants Up to 15,000 Hryvnias

Українські бізнесмени можуть отримати фінансову підтримку для покращення енергетичної стабільності до 15 000 гривень.

Financial Aid for Small Businesses in Ukraine

A Ukrainian government program offering financial support to small businesses has been expanded. Individual entrepreneurs (FOPs) of the 2nd and 3rd groups can now apply for an energy resilience grant ranging from 7,500 to 15,000 hryvnias. Applications for these payments are being accepted through the 'Diia' portal until May 31st. The grant amount is determined by the number of employees a business has:

  • One employee – 7,500 hryvnias,
  • Two employees – 9,000 hryvnias,
  • Six or more employees – 15,000 hryvnias.

To qualify, FOPs of the 2nd and 3rd groups must have been registered by December 1, 2025. This initiative is part of a broader effort to bolster the private sector during a period of significant strain. The program has already disbursed more than 380 million hryvnias and has been scaled up to include seven new business categories. Key requirements for approval include having no outstanding tax debts and employing at least one officially registered worker.

Eligible Sectors and Grant Conditions

The program covers a wide array of sectors, including education, healthcare, transportation, food retail, and other specialized retail. Applications are submitted online via the 'Diia' portal in the 'Assistance for FOP Energy Resilience' section. Funds are deposited exclusively onto an activated Diia.Card. Applicants must sign their submission with a digital signature and provide confirmation that the funds will be used for their intended purpose.

Money received through this program can be spent on generators, batteries, solar panels, fuel, or electricity bill payments. This financial support scheme provides small businesses with an opportunity to strengthen their energy independence during challenging times, thereby supporting entrepreneurial development in Ukraine.

The expansion of this financial support program not only aids entrepreneurs facing economic hardship but also secures the energy resilience critical for effective business operations. Given the growing energy challenges, such measures can positively impact the overall stability and development of the economy.

In addition to grants, the Ukrainian government is also offering zero-interest loans to support entrepreneurs during these challenging times. This comprehensive approach aims to enhance the financial stability of small businesses, enabling them to invest in essential resources.
