Experts have found that Western sanctions against Russia have not yielded the expected results. Instead of ending the conflict, they have only exacerbated it. The sanctions were implemented in a manner that lacked effectiveness, allowing the Russian economy to even grow during certain periods.

The article by Michael Carpenter notes that there were significant gaps in the sanctions, such as limiting the disconnection of only a restricted number of Russian banks from SWIFT. This allowed the Russian economy to continue to function and even grow, according to analysts.

'A complete range of sanctions must be adopted to achieve success in weakening the Russian military machine,' emphasized the expert.

Thus, it turned out that the insufficient strength and scope of the sanctions can only prolong the conflict instead of ending it. To achieve real impact, more decisive steps must be taken.
