Las Vegas Grand Prix Secures Formula 1 Future Through 2037

Визії та досягнення: Формула-1 закріплює свої позиції у Лас-Вегасі до 2037 року.

Las Vegas Grand Prix and Formula 1 Standings

A new ten-year agreement has been signed between Las Vegas Grand Prix organizers and Formula 1 management, guaranteeing the race remains on the calendar at least through the 2037 season. The inaugural Nevada event took place in 2023, with Red Bull driver Max Verstappen winning both that race and the first ever held on the streets of Sin City. This year's Nevada Grand Prix is scheduled for November 21.

Current Driver and Constructor Championship Standings

How do the Formula 1 driver standings look right now? Mercedes' Andrea Kimi Antonelli leads the championship with 131 points. His closest rival, George Russell, has 88 points. The top five also includes:

  • Charles Leclerc with 75 points
  • Lewis Hamilton with 72
  • Lando Norris with 58

Across the first five rounds, Antonelli secured four race victories in China, Japan, Miami, and Canada. Russell won in Australia and claimed two sprint wins in China and Canada, while Norris triumphed in the third short race in Miami.

What about the Constructor Championship? Mercedes has surged to the top with 219 points. Ferrari sits second with 147 points, followed by McLaren in third with 106. As of now, Cadillac and Aston Martin remain scoreless, while Audi has two points and Williams has seven. George Russell won the sprint at the Canadian Grand Prix, with Antonelli finishing third in that sprint.

Additionally, the Turkish Grand Prix is returning to the Formula 1 calendar. Istanbul Park has signed a five-season contract, with the first Turkish Grand Prix event scheduled for 2027.

The expansion of the Formula 1 calendar—including the Las Vegas Grand Prix extension and the return of the Turkish Grand Prix—reflects growing interest in motorsport and potential opportunities to attract new fans. It also highlights the importance of commercial deals in modern racing, where event popularity can significantly impact team and organizer finances. Success stories like Antonelli's can draw added attention to Formula 1, which in turn fuels competition among teams and their sponsors.

As the excitement around the Las Vegas Grand Prix continues to grow, fans are also keen to know how their favorite teams are performing this season. In particular, Mercedes has secured a dominant position in the championship standings, showcasing their strength ahead of the upcoming races. This ongoing competition highlights the intense rivalry among top teams, setting the stage for thrilling events in the future.
