Financial Aid for Socially Vulnerable Groups
The French humanitarian non-governmental organization Acted has announced a program to provide financial grants to socially vulnerable residents of the Mykolaivka settlement community in the Sumy region. This initiative is part of broader international efforts to support communities in Ukraine affected by the ongoing conflict. The assistance, scheduled for distribution in April 2026, will include grants for livelihood support, with amounts ranging from 29,000 to 42,000 Ukrainian hryvnias (UAH).
Acted's work in Sumy Oblast will involve informational sessions scheduled for April 17, 2026. The first session is set for 10:00 a.m. in the village of Mykolaivka at Freedom Street, 2, in the building of the settlement council. A second session will begin at 12:00 p.m. at the library located at Central Street, 2. For further details, inquiries can be made via the contact number +380634535723.
Eligible Categories for Grant Assistance
The grants are designated for specific categories of residents who may apply for the payments. Eligible groups include:
- Individuals displaced from areas of active hostilities;
- Citizens who have suffered from the war;
- Families with three or more children under the age of 18;
- Households with children under two years old;
- Families with pregnant women;
- Unemployed individuals of pre-retirement age (50 and older);
- Households that include persons with disabilities;
- Families with members who have severe illnesses;
- Elderly people aged 60 and over;
- Households headed by women or single parents.
It is important to note that specific conditions apply for receiving this aid. Separate applications are prohibited for individuals who are related and live together as one family. Furthermore, households that received material assistance from the Red Cross in 2025 will not be eligible for these grants. This initiative aims to support the most vulnerable segments of the population and aid their recovery in the aftermath of difficult times.
This grant program from Acted represents a significant step in supporting socially vulnerable groups impacted by war and economic instability.
It provides an opportunity to obtain necessary financial aid for restoring livelihoods and supporting families facing challenging circumstances. The informational sessions organized by Acted are also intended to encourage the maximum number of eligible individuals in need to participate in the program.
