A meeting was held at the Ministry of Community and Territorial Development with a delegation from the National Railway Company of France (SNCF) led by President Jean-Pierre Farand and Ambassador of France to Ukraine Gael Vessier.
According to the ministry, the parties discussed the prospects for the development of cooperation between Ukraine and France in the field of railway transport, including infrastructure modernization, transport development, and adaptation to European legislation.
'Cooperation between Ukraine and France has enormous strategic potential. The French experience in implementing European legislation and developing passenger transport is extremely valuable to us,' said Deputy Minister Oleksiy Balesta.
The French side also expressed its readiness to develop partnerships and emphasized the need to build closer ties between the railways of both countries. The parties agreed to continue cooperation and organize an exchange of experiences to improve work in the railway transport sector.
Ukraine and France discussed opportunities for cooperation in the field of railway transport, particularly regarding modernization and transport development. Both sides confirmed their readiness for further cooperation and experience exchange to improve work in this area.
