A turning point in the career of a photojournalist
'Journalists take on this risk for the sake of truth, so the world can see the reality of Russian aggression. Antoni Lalikian did this over and over again - he came to Ukraine, went to Donetsk, documenting what many prefer not to see. He built a visual bridge between the world and our reality. Now he himself has become part of this tragic story,' says the head of the National Union of Journalists of Ukraine, Serhiy Tomilenko.
Antoni Lalikian gained admirers and colleagues in the journalistic world with his work, which helped reveal the truth about conflicts and crises. His loss has been a significant loss for the profession and for those who value objective and brave journalism.
