G7+ Pledges New Funds for Ukraine's Energy Sector: Winter Preparation Plans Revealed

G7+ Coordination Group Convenes

Deputy Foreign Minister of Ukraine Yevhen Perebyinis attended a session of the G7+ Coordination Group dedicated to supporting Ukraine's energy sector. The meeting coincided with the 40th anniversary of the Chornobyl disaster. During the event, Ukrainian Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko outlined key priorities for preparing for the 2026–2027 heating season.

First Deputy Prime Minister and Energy Minister Denys Shmyhal provided an overview of the energy sector's current state and identified critical needs for its recovery and growth. Discussions among participants covered:
