Ukrainian Gas Prices for March 2026: Monthly Rates Drop While Annual Contracts Hold Steady

Зниження місячних тарифів на газ в березні 2026 року: сталий рівень річних угод.

Household Gas Prices Set for March 2026

Ukrainian gas suppliers have announced their pricing for residential consumers for March 2026. While annual contract rates remain stable, prices for flexible monthly plans have seen a decrease. The household gas market is served by eight suppliers. Four of these companies offer only fixed annual rates, while the other four provide both annual contracts and variable monthly plans.

Annual contract prices range from 7.96 to 9.99 hryvnias per cubic meter. The tariff from Naftogaz of Ukraine remains fixed at 7.96 hryvnias per cubic meter and is guaranteed to stay at this level at least until April 2026. It is important to note that Naftogaz supplies gas to the vast majority of the market, serving over 12 million households, which accounts for 98% of all Ukrainian domestic consumers.

Comparing Monthly and Annual Pricing

Prices for monthly gas plans have fallen by 2 hryvnias compared to February. In March, these variable monthly rates will span from 8.46 to 25.99 hryvnias per cubic meter. The companies offering fixed annual contracts include:

  • Ternopiloblgaz Sbyt, with a price set at 7.96 hryvnias;
  • Prykarpat Energo Trade LLC, at 7.98 hryvnias;
  • Galnaftogaz LLC, at 7.99 hryvnias;
  • Retail Service LLC (branded as SvitloGaz), which offers an annual rate of 9.99 hryvnias, alongside a monthly rate reaching 25.99 hryvnias per cubic meter.

The fixed annual tariffs are considered the standard for residential consumers. Naftogaz of Ukraine, through its GazPravda brand, supplies blue fuel to 98% of Ukrainian households, a figure representing more than 12 million homes.

The reduction in monthly gas tariffs may indicate a degree of market stabilization, which could ease the financial pressure on households amid ongoing economic uncertainty. Given Naftogaz's dominant market share, its pricing strategy remains a critical benchmark for the entire energy sector's cost structure. This pricing dynamic is particularly relevant as Ukraine continues its efforts to maintain energy security and affordability for its citizens.
