Голодомор 1932-1933: Спадок страшних втрат та намагання замовчати правду про український народ.

Genocide of 1932-1933

In June 1933, more than 20 people died every minute in Ukraine. The highest mortality rate reached up to 28,000 people per day.

According to archival data, more than 10,000 Ukrainian villages were essentially empty - in some, there were even no living souls left.

Despite the mass deaths from starvation, the USSR exported over 1.7 million tons of grain abroad during 1932-1933.

The use of the word 'hunger' could lead to imprisonment. The Soviet authorities concealed the crime for decades, destroyed documents, and persecuted witnesses.

The Holodomor claimed the lives of 3.9 million people (according to the estimates of the Institute of Demography of the NAS of Ukraine). According to the calculations of Western historians, between 4 and 7 million.

We remember all this.

A genocide occurred in Ukraine during 1932-1933, a mass murder of people through starvation. This tragedy remains an important part of Ukraine's history, which should be remembered and the memory of the victims honored.
