The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine has provided an update on the frontline situation for February 23. Over the past day, 100 combat engagements were recorded, with the most intense fighting concentrated on the Pokrovsk axis. Russian forces escalated their activity, launching massed air strikes and deploying kamikaze drones. This level of aggression underscores the ongoing pressure on Ukrainian defensive lines.

According to the report, Russian forces carried out 70 air strikes and dropped 181 guided aerial bombs. Furthermore, they deployed 5,774 kamikaze drones, indicating a high-intensity effort to overwhelm Ukrainian air defenses. Over the 24-hour period, Russian troops also fired upon Ukrainian troop positions and settlements 2,336 times.

Details of Combat Actions Across Various Fronts

Numerous engagements occurred across the frontline:

  • On the South-Slobozhanske axis: 1 air strike, 1 guided aerial bomb, and 68 artillery strikes, including 6 from multiple launch rocket systems.
  • In the same region: 2 attacks in the directions of Hrafske and Kutkivka.
  • On the Kupiansk axis: Ukrainian forces repelled 2 attacks near Pishchane.
  • The Lyman axis saw 5 attacks, which were halted near Drobysheve and in the directions of Novoselivka, Shyikivka, and Lyman.
  • On the Sloviansk axis: 6 enemy attempts to advance were repelled near Platonivka and Zakytne.
  • No offensive actions by the enemy were recorded on the Kramatorsk axis.
  • On the Kostiantynivka axis: the enemy conducted 14 assaults.
  • On the Pokrovsk axis: 19 attacks were recorded near Rodynske, Pokrovsk, Udachne, and Shakhtarske.
  • The Olexandrivka axis endured 10 attacks, which were stopped near Ternove.
  • On the Huliaipole axis: the enemy carried out 14 attacks.
  • On the Orikhiv axis: no enemy offensive actions were recorded, though air strikes did occur.
  • On the Prydniprovske axis: one enemy attack was repelled.

This report comes on the 1,461st day of Russia's full-scale war against Ukraine.
