July 6 Attacks: Ukrainian General Staff Identifies Key Frontline Sectors

On July 6, the front line saw intense combat, with the aggressor launching a massive assault. According to the latest report from Ukraine's General Staff, the day included one missile strike involving 68 rockets. Additionally, enemy forces conducted 62 airstrikes using 179 guided bombs and deployed 5,733 kamikaze drones. A total of 2,208 shelling attacks targeted Ukrainian military positions and populated areas.

The day witnessed 214 combat engagements. In the Pokrovsk sector, Russian troops carried out 32 assaults, resulting in 33 enemy soldiers killed and 16 wounded. Ukrainian forces also destroyed or suppressed 239 enemy drones of various types in this area. In the Northern Slobozhansky and Kursk sectors, Ukrainian defenders repelled eight attacks, with two clashes still ongoing as of evening. Enemy fire in these sectors consisted of 27 strikes, including one using multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS).

Frontline Situation

In the Southern Slobozhansky sector, the enemy launched six assaults near Vovchansk, Starytsia, and other settlements, with two engagements still ongoing. In the Kupiansk sector, no offensive actions were recorded. In the Lyman sector, Ukrainian defense forces repelled 11 attacks, with three clashes still in progress.

In the Sloviansk sector, defenders stopped 23 enemy attempts to advance, while in the Kramatorsk sector, no assault actions were reported. In the Kostiantynivka sector, Ukrainian forces repelled 25 attacks, with one battle still ongoing. In the Oleksandrivka sector, the enemy launched four assaults, and in the Huliaipole sector, defenders repelled 14 attacks. In the Orikhiv sector, Ukrainian troops halted two enemy attempts to advance.

The situation in the Dnipro sector saw no assault actions by the aggressor. Overall, the day recorded 295 combat engagements. As of the 1,594th day of the full-scale war, the situation remains tense.

These latest figures indicate a high level of combat activity, potentially signaling preparations by Russian forces for offensive operations. Amid escalating shelling and attacks, Ukrainian defense forces continue to actively counter threats, including by destroying enemy drones and repelling assaults. This situation underscores the critical need for sustained military support and national security measures in the current conflict environment.
