Ukrainian General Staff Reports 109 Battles and 5,980 Drones in a Single Day, Names Primary Attack Axis

On April 30, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported that the enemy launched 51 airstrikes, dropped 166 guided bombs, and deployed 5,980 kamikaze drones. That day, 2,201 shelling attacks targeted populated areas and military positions. Across the front line, 109 combat engagements occurred, with the highest concentration of assaults recorded in the Pokrovsk sector. Today marks the 1,527th day of the full-scale war in Ukraine. For context, this ongoing conflict continues to demand significant resources and international attention as both sides sustain high operational tempos.

Frontline Situation

In the North-Slobozhanskyi and Kursk sectors, Ukrainian forces repelled three enemy attacks. Occupying forces conducted 64 shelling strikes on positions and settlements in these regions, 10 of which used multiple rocket launchers. In the South-Slobozhanskyi sector, the enemy stormed positions five times near Lyman, Starytsia, Vovchansk, and Okhrimivka, with three engagements still ongoing.

On the Kupiansk axis, the enemy attacked five times toward Kurylivka, Kindrashivka, and Novoplatonivka, with one battle still underway. In the Lyman sector, five attempts to advance toward Stavky, Drobysheve, Lyman, and Dibrova were repelled, and one engagement continues. Regarding the Sloviansk direction, two assaults near Zakitne and Yampil were repelled, with one ongoing clash.

In the Kramatorsk sector, the enemy did not conduct active operations. On the Kostiantynivka axis, 15 enemy assaults were repelled near Kostiantynivka, Pleshchiivka, Oleksandro-Shultyne, Stepanivka, Sofiivka, Illinivka, and Ivanopillia. In the Pokrovsk sector, the enemy launched 20 attacks near Rodynske, Pokrovsk, Myrnohrad, Muravka, Kotlyne, Novooleksandrivka, Hryshyne, Udachne, and Molodetske, with one battle still ongoing.

On the Oleksandrivka axis, occupiers attacked twice toward Verbove and Zlahoda. In the Huliaipole sector, nine attacks occurred near Dobropillia, Staroukrainka, Varvarivka, Tsvitkove, Olenokostiantynivka, Huliaipolske, and Charivne. On the Orikhiv axis, the enemy carried out one attack toward Pavlivka, and airstrikes hit areas near Tavriiske and Komyshuvakha.

In the Dnipro River sector, four enemy assaults were repelled near the Antonivskyi Bridge and Bilohrudyi Island. Overall, the frontline situation remains tense, with numerous shelling attacks and enemy assaults ongoing.
