Pokrovsk Sector Sees Highest Activity: General Staff Reports 204 Combat Clashes in a Day

By 10:00 PM on April 24, active hostilities across Ukraine had resulted in 204 recorded combat engagements. Russian forces continue to unleash heavy strikes, including 50 aerial attacks during which 166 guided bombs were deployed. The use of 3,649 kamikaze drones was also documented, underscoring the intensity of the fighting. In total, 1,776 shelling incidents targeted populated areas and Ukrainian military positions.

Frontline Situation

The fiercest fighting is concentrated in the Pokrovsk direction, where 59 Russian personnel were killed and 28 wounded. Additionally, one enemy vehicle was destroyed, a drone control center was damaged, and 92 shelters were hit. Ukrainian forces also neutralized or suppressed 118 drones of various types in this sector.

On the North-Slobozhansk and Kursk axes, the adversary conducted a single airstrike, followed by 97 shelling attacks—16 of which involved multiple launch rocket systems. Six assault actions were also recorded here. In the South-Slobozhansk direction, the enemy launched five attacks near Starytsia, Zybyne, and Izbyshke.

Elsewhere, the Kupiansk sector saw eight enemy assaults, while Ukrainian troops repelled 13 attacks in the Lyman direction. In Kramatorsk, occupiers attacked nine times, with 23 strikes occurring in the Kostiantynivka area. The Pokrovsk front witnessed 54 attacks, with four in Oleksandrivka, 11 in Huliaipole, and two in Orikhiv.

This marks the 1,521st day of Russia's full-scale war in Ukraine, a conflict that continues to inflict severe damage on civilians and infrastructure. The situation remains highly volatile, with Ukrainian forces steadfastly defending their territory against the aggressor.

The latest frontline data points to an escalation in combat activity, with no signs of de-escalation. The persistent offensive operations across multiple sectors confirm the enemy's intent to sustain aggressive actions. This reality highlights the critical need for continued support of Ukraine’s military and sustained international assistance to safeguard the nation’s sovereignty.
