Over 1,400 Russian Troops Killed in a Single Day: Kyiv’s Military Reports Updated Casualty Figures

Updated Data on Russian Military Losses

As of the morning of July 11, 2026, Ukraine’s General Staff of the Armed Forces has released fresh numbers on Russian occupier casualties. This marks day 1,599 of the full-scale war in Ukraine. According to the report, total Russian personnel losses have reached approximately 1,417,770, with 1,490 killed in just the latest period.

Significant equipment losses were also noted:

  • Tanks: 12,116 (8 recently destroyed)
  • Armored combat vehicles: 24,922 (up by 10)
  • Artillery systems: 45,754 (74 recently eliminated)
  • Multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS): 1,924
  • Air defense systems: 1,485
  • Aircraft: 437
  • Helicopters: 353
  • Ground robotic complexes: 1,868
  • Unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs): 401,925 (1,294 recently destroyed)

Additionally, Russian forces have lost:

  • Cruise missiles: 4,887
  • Ships and boats: 33
  • Submarines: 2
  • Vehicles and fuel tankers: 118,610 units
  • Special equipment: 4,402 units

Estimated Value of Destroyed Assets

The report also included estimated financial losses. Destroyed cruise missiles are valued at roughly $14.66 billion, based on an average cost of $3 million per missile. Lost UAVs are estimated at $12.06 billion, while destroyed aircraft account for about $13.11 billion. Helicopter losses amount to roughly $5.29 billion, and tanks to $30.29 billion.

Artillery system losses are valued at $68.63 billion, armored combat vehicles at $14.95 billion, air defense systems at $22.28 billion, and ships and boats at $1.98 billion. Submarine losses are estimated at $600 million.

Based on data from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the frontline situation remains difficult, with significant losses on both sides.

These updated figures reflect the ongoing intensity of combat in Ukraine, now in its fourth year. The high casualty and equipment numbers underscore the conflict’s severity and its toll on Russia’s military capacity. Such data may influence strategic decisions by both sides, particularly regarding future operations and international support.
