As of the morning of June 29, 2026, Ukraine's Armed Forces General Staff has released fresh figures on Russian military losses. This update marks the 1,587th day of the full-scale war. Russian personnel casualties now total approximately 1,402,200, with 1,230 additional losses recorded over the past 24 hours.
Beyond troop losses, the General Staff detailed destroyed Russian equipment. These include:
- Tanks: 12,066 units (+3)
- Armored fighting vehicles: 24,845 units (+1)
- Artillery systems: 44,969 units (+49)
- Multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS): 1,901 units
- Air defense systems: 1,454 units
Russian aerial losses comprise:

On the ground, losses of unmanned ground vehicles increased by 10, reaching a total of 1,764. Tactical-level unmanned aerial vehicle losses stand at 379,224, with an additional 1,724 destroyed in the last day.
Other Russian losses include:
- Cruise missiles: 4,797 (+7)
- Ships and boats: 33 (no change)
- Submarines: 2 (also unchanged)
- Vehicles and fuel tankers: 113,612 (+477)
- Special equipment: 4,366 (+6)
The estimated financial toll is staggering: destroyed cruise missiles cost roughly $14.39 billion, UAVs $11.38 billion, aircraft $13.08 billion, helicopters $5.29 billion, tanks $30.17 billion, artillery systems $67.45 billion, armored fighting vehicles $14.91 billion, air defense systems $21.81 billion, ships and boats $1.98 billion, and submarines $600 million.
These figures are approximate, as only the Ukrainian General Staff knows the precise breakdown of destroyed equipment by modification.
This data underscores the conflict's duration and the immense costs Russia continues to bear. The steady rise in personnel and equipment losses points to ongoing intense combat and potential shifts in strategy by both sides. With billions of dollars in destroyed assets, these losses could weaken Russia's long-term military capabilities, highlighting the war's economic burden and its broader impact on regional security.
