Losses of the Russian Armed Forces as of March 12, 2026

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine has published data on the losses of the Russian military as of March 12, 2026. As of this date, the full-scale war in Ukraine has been ongoing for 1478 days.

Russian losses in the war as of March 12, 2026, amount to:

  • personnel – approximately 1,276,760 (+780)
  • tanks – 11,766 (+3)
  • armored fighting vehicles – 24,197 (+20)
  • artillery systems – 38,319 (+56)
  • multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS) – 1,681 (+1)
  • air defense assets – 1,329 (+1)

In addition, aviation losses have been recorded:

  • aircraft – 435 (+0)
  • helicopters – 349 (+0)

In the field of operational-tactical level drones, 173,068 units have been recorded (+2,102). Other losses include:

  • cruise missiles – 4,403 (+0)
  • ships and boats – 31 (+0)
  • submarines – 2 (+0)
  • automotive equipment and tank trucks – 83,034 units (+243)
  • special equipment – 4,088 units (+0)
