Ukrainian General Staff Reports 148 Combat Engagements in 24 Hours, Pokrovsk Axis Sees Most Intense Fighting

Operational Update as of April 10

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine has provided an update on combat activities for April 10. Over the past day, 148 combat engagements were recorded, with the most intense fighting concentrated on the Pokrovsk axis. Russian forces have escalated their activity, conducting airstrikes, artillery fire, and assault operations across multiple fronts. This surge in attacks comes as Ukraine continues to defend against a larger, better-equipped adversary.

As of 10:00 PM on April 10, the invading forces carried out 54 airstrikes, deploying 167 guided aerial bombs. They also utilized 5,337 kamikaze drones to strike targets. Throughout the day, Ukrainian towns and military positions endured 2,187 artillery bombardments. On the Pokrovsk axis, preliminary reports indicate 105 occupiers were killed and 78 wounded. Additionally, 7 automotive units, 6 units of special equipment, and one fuel and lubricant storage depot were destroyed in that sector.

Frontline Situation

Furthermore, on the Pokrovsk axis, 4 artillery pieces, 12 automotive units, and 3 infantry shelters were damaged. A total of 302 unmanned aerial vehicles were either destroyed or suppressed. On the North-Slobozhansky and Kursk axes, 12 combat engagements occurred, with 3 still ongoing. The enemy conducted 121 artillery strikes, 33 of which involved multiple launch rocket systems, and carried out 2 airstrikes.

On the South-Slobozhansky axis, Russian forces launched 10 assaults on positions near Vovchansk, Kolodyazne, Starytsia, Zelene, Vovchanski Khutory, and Prylipka. On the Kupiansk axis, Ukrainian defenders repelled 3 enemy assaults near Kurylivka and Novoplatonivka. On the Lyman axis, 8 attempts to advance were recorded near Dibrova, Nadiya, Zarichne, Olhivka, Stepove, Druzhbyubivka, and Cherneshchyna.

On the Sloviansk axis, 2 assaults were repelled in the Riznykivka area. On the Kramatorsk axis, 17 enemy assaults were repelled near Kramatorsk, Pleshiivka, Stepanyvka, Ivanopillia, and Sofiyivka. On the Pokrovsk axis, the enemy conducted 20 attacks in the areas of Bilytske, Rodynske, Myrnohrad, Novooleksandrivka, Udachne, Ivanivka, Pokrovsk, Shevchenko, Hryshyne, Filiia, and Novoserhiivka; 2 of these engagements are still ongoing.

On the Orikhiv axis, occupiers made 5 attempts to improve their tactical position by attacking near Kalynivske, Oleksandropil, Sichneve, and Verbove. Airstrikes also targeted the outskirts of Kolomiytsi, Velykomykhailivka, and Orestopil. On the Huliaipole axis, 13 attacks occurred near Dobropillia, Varvarivka, Bilohiria, Huliaipilske, Staroukrainka, Charivne, and Zaliznychne, with airstrikes hitting areas near Vozdvyzhenska, Verkhnia Tersa, Charivne, and Rizdvyanka. On the Orikhiv axis, the enemy made one attempt to advance towards Shcherbaky and launched airstrikes on the Orikhiv district.

This marks the 1,507th day of the full-scale war.

Ukrainian armed forces are currently facing heightened enemy activity on several key fronts, suggesting a potential escalation of the conflict. The situation on the Pokrovsk axis remains critical, with high Russian casualties indicating Moscow's attempts to intensify offensive actions there. The operational data highlights the significant use of drones and air power, which is likely to shape combat strategy in the near future as both sides adapt to evolving battlefield conditions.
