Intense Combat Actions on February 2nd
The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported that intense combat operations occurred on February 2nd. Throughout the day, Russian forces conducted numerous airstrikes, artillery bombardments, and ground assaults across multiple sectors of the front. The highest level of enemy activity was observed on the Pokrovsk direction, where a record number of attacks was recorded.
In total, 147 combat engagements took place along the front line on February 2nd. Russian forces carried out 60 airstrikes, dropping 150 guided aerial bombs. Additionally, they deployed 5,199 kamikaze drones and conducted 2,860 artillery strikes against Ukrainian settlements and military positions. These events occurred on the 1,440th day of Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine, underscoring the war's relentless and grinding nature.
Details of Combat Actions Across Various Fronts
On the South Slobozhanske direction, the enemy conducted 1 airstrike, dropped 4 guided bombs, and carried out 99 artillery strikes, including 5 using multiple launch rocket systems. Ukrainian defenders repelled 1 attack. In the same area, Russian forces attempted assaults near Vovchansk and Dvorichanske, as well as towards Prylypka, Kutkivka, and Fyholivka, where Ukrainian units repelled 9 attacks.
- On the Kupiansk direction, Ukrainian forces repelled 4 attacks in the area of Zahryzove and towards Kurylivka, Petropavlivka, and Pishchane. One engagement is ongoing.
- On the Lyman direction, defenders halted 7 attacks in the areas of Serednie, Novoselivka, and Zarichne, as well as towards Drobysheve, Stavky, and Dibrova. Two engagements continue here.
- On the Sloviansk direction, Ukrainian troops repelled 12 enemy attempts to advance in the area of Dronivka and towards Kalenyky, Rai-Oleksandrivka, Platonivka, and Zakytne.
- On the Kramatorsk direction, the enemy conducted 1 attack towards Chervone but was repelled.
- On the Kostiantynivka direction, Russian forces launched 11 assaults on positions near Pleshchiivka, Shcherbynivka, Ruskyi Yar, and towards Stepanyvka, Novopavlivka, Mykolaypillya, and Sofiyivka.
- On the Pokrovsk direction, the enemy conducted 39 attacks near Rodynske, Myrnohrad, Kotlyne, Udachne, Molodetske, and Svitly, as well as towards Bilytske, Novooleksandrivka, Novopidhorodne, Novopavlivka, Shevchenko, and Hryshyne.
- On the Oleksandrivske direction, Ukrainian units halted 4 attacks in the area of Yegorivka and Zlahoda, and towards Ostapivske.
- On the Huliaipole direction, 18 attacks occurred in the area of Huliaipole and Dorozhnyanka, and towards Sviatopetrivka, Zaliznychne, Dobropillia, and Zelene.
- On the Orikhiv direction, the enemy attacked positions in the area of Prymorske.
- On the Dnipro River direction, defense forces repelled an attack towards the Antonivskyi Bridge.
