The Ukrainian General Staff's evening report for March 2, 2023, details the intense combat situation across the front. Over the past day, 113 separate combat engagements were recorded. The full-scale war has now lasted for 1,473 days. Russian forces launched one missile strike using 29 missiles and carried out 58 airstrikes, deploying 170 guided aerial bombs. Additionally, the enemy used 6,562 kamikaze drones and conducted 2,471 artillery strikes on Ukrainian positions and settlements.

Frontline Situation

The situation remains tense across all sectors of the front. On the Northern-Slobozhansky and Kursk directions, 115 artillery strikes were recorded, including 3 using multiple launch rocket systems. There were also 3 airstrikes involving 8 guided bombs.

On the Southern-Slobozhansky direction, Ukrainian forces repelled 4 assaults near Hrafiske, Vilcha, Zybyne, and Pishchane, with 2 more assault actions ongoing.

On the Kupiansk direction, 4 attacks were recorded near Pishchane, Kurylivka, Kivsharivka, and Novoosynove. On the Lyman direction, 4 attacks occurred near Serednie, Novyi Myr, and Drobysheve, with 1 assault action continuing.

  • On the Sloviansk direction, 12 attempts to advance were noted towards Platonivka, Rai-Oleksandrivka, Kalenyky, Dronivka, Zakytne, Riznykivka, and Pazeno, with 3 attempts still ongoing.
  • The Kramatorsk direction saw 1 attack in the Minkivka area.
  • On the Kostiantsynivka direction, 15 assaults occurred near Kostiantsynivka, Pleshchiivka, Shcherbynivka, Illinivka, Rusynyi Yar, Sofiyivka, and Novopavlivka, with 1 assault action continuing.
  • On the Pokrovsk direction, Russian forces carried out 19 attacks near Novyi Donbas, Rodynske, Novooleksandrivka, Kotlyne, Udachne, Novomykolaivka, Novopidhorodne, Nykanorivka, Shevchenko, Pokrovsk, and Hryshyne.
  • The Oleksandrivka direction saw 3 attacks near Verbove and Novohryhorivka.
  • On the Huliaipole direction, 11 attacks were recorded near Dobropillia, Zaliznychne, Varvariyka, Myrne, and Zelene, with 2 attacks still ongoing.

On the Pokrovsk direction, Ukrainian forces eliminated 27 occupiers and wounded 18. They destroyed 1 artillery system, 2 vehicles, 2 pieces of special equipment, and a fuel and lubricants depot. Four artillery systems, 7 vehicles, 3 pieces of special equipment, and 62 shelters were damaged. In total, 156 unmanned aerial vehicles of various types were destroyed or suppressed.
