Combat Situation in Ukraine as of March 15
On March 15, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported that the war has entered its 1481st day. Over the past 24 hours, Ukrainian forces were engaged in 154 separate combat clashes. Russian forces conducted 74 airstrikes and dropped a record 212 guided aerial bombs. The use of kamikaze drones also remained high, with the invaders deploying 3,917 such unmanned aerial vehicles. Furthermore, Russian troops carried out 2,572 artillery and mortar strikes on Ukrainian towns, villages, and military positions.
Areas of Engagement
On the North-Slobozhanske and Kursk directions, the enemy launched two assaults, conducted two airstrikes, dropped four aerial bombs, and carried out 88 shelling attacks, including two using multiple launch rocket systems. On the South-Slobozhanske direction, Russian forces attempted one assault toward the settlement of Vilcha. In the Kupiansk direction, the enemy attacked twice toward Novoosynove and Hlushkivka.
On the Lyman direction, Ukrainian forces repelled five enemy attacks toward the settlements of Dibrova, Lyman, and Drobycheve. On the Sloviansk direction, the enemy attempted to advance 13 times in the areas of:
- Yampil
- Zakitne
- Platonivka
- Ozerne
- Riznykivka
- Rai-Oleksandrivka
Two of these clashes are ongoing. In the Kramatorsk direction, Russian forces attacked twice near Stupochok.
On the Kostiantsynivka direction, the occupiers stormed Ukrainian positions 21 times toward Kostiantsynivka, Illinivka, and Novopavlivka, as well as in the areas of:
- Pleshchiivka
- Berestok
- Rusyn Yar
One of these engagements continues. On the Pokrovsk direction, the enemy carried out 35 assaults toward the settlements of:
- Vilne
- Novooleksandrivka
- Shevchenko
- Toretske
- Bilytske
- Nove Shakhove
- Zatyshok
- Nykanorivka
- Kotlyne
- Novomykolaivka
- Udachne
- Novopidhorodne
- Myrnohrad
- Rodynske
- Molodetske
- Filiia
Five of these assault actions are still in progress.
On the Oleksandrivka direction, the occupiers attempted to improve their tactical position 12 times by attacking in the areas of:
- Zelenyi Hai
- Oleksandrograd
- Kalynivske
- Berezove
- Ternove
- Pershotravneve
- Novomykolaivka
- Zlahoda
- Verbove
Simultaneously, the settlements of Ivanivka, Havrylivka, Prosiana, Kolomiytsi, Pokrovske, and Orly came under airstrikes. On the Huliaipole direction, 20 attacks occurred near Huliaipole and toward:
- Zaliznychne
- Varvarivka
- Sviatopetrivka
- Olenokostiantynivka
- Charivne
Three combat clashes there are ongoing.
These recent events indicate a significant intensification of combat operations and an increase in the scale of enemy attacks across multiple sectors of the front. The high volume of attacks and the extensive use of modern military technology, such as kamikaze drones, underscore the continued intensity of the conflict. This sustained pressure highlights the challenging conditions Ukrainian defenders face daily across a vast frontline. The situation suggests that frontline conditions may continue to deteriorate, requiring Ukrainian forces to maintain a heightened state of readiness to defend their positions.
