Ukrainian General Staff Reports 196 Combat Engagements in 24 Hours, Pokrovsk Sector Sees Heaviest Fighting

Ukrainian military officials reported intense combat across the front, with 196 separate engagements recorded over the past day. Russian forces launched numerous attacks and bombardments on multiple axes, with the most concentrated assault occurring on the Pokrovsk front, where 62 attacks were documented.

Throughout the day, Russian invaders carried out one missile strike and 70 airstrikes. They deployed one missile and dropped 171 guided aerial bombs, while also utilizing 2,862 kamikaze drones. In total, Russian forces conducted 2,717 artillery and mortar strikes on Ukrainian troop positions and settlements. This activity marks the 1,429th day of Russia's full-scale war against Ukraine, a conflict that continues to shape European security.

Military engagements were reported across various sectors of the front as follows:

  • On the South Slobozhanske axis — 3 attacks, 3 airstrikes, 5 guided bombs, 58 artillery strikes.
  • On the Kupiansk axis, an attack near Synkivka was repelled.
  • On the Lyman axis, Ukrainian defenders repelled 7 assault actions near Myrne, Drobysheve, Kolodyazi, Zarichne, and Yampolivka.
  • On the Sloviansk axis, 2 attacks were recorded near Sviato-Pokrovske.
  • On the Kramatorsk axis, 7 assault actions occurred near Orikhovo-Vasylivka, Chasiv Yar, and Markove.
  • On the Kostiantynivka axis, 20 combat clashes were noted near Predtechyne, Pleshchiivka, Ivanopillia, Yablunivka, Rusyn Yar, and Sofiiivka.
  • On the Oleksandrivka axis, Ukrainian forces repelled 12 attacks near Zelene Hai, Verbove, Stepove, Vyshneve, Krasnohorivka, and Nechaivka.
  • On the Huliaipole axis, 34 offensive attempts were recorded near Solodke, Varvarka, Huliaipole, Zelene, and Dobropillia.
  • An attack near Plavni was repelled on the Orikhiv axis.
  • On the Prydniprovske axis, the enemy attempted to improve its tactical position.

These figures underscore the complex situation on the frontlines and the high level of combat activity from both sides. The sustained pressure across multiple sectors indicates a war of attrition with no immediate end in sight.
