Ukrainian Armed Forces Report 221 Combat Engagements in a Single Day

War Update

Over the past 24 hours, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine recorded 221 combat clashes and 80 airstrikes carried out by Russian forces. The enemy deployed 261 guided aerial bombs and 9,591 kamikaze drones. In total, the Russian military conducted 2,957 artillery and mortar attacks on Ukrainian defensive positions and populated areas. This marks another day of intense fighting as the war grinds on.

Frontline Situation

On the North-Slobozhanskyi and Kursk axes, two combat engagements occurred. Meanwhile, the adversary launched 69 shelling attacks, including 2 from multiple launch rocket systems. On the South-Slobozhanskyi axis, enemy forces attacked Ukrainian positions 12 times.

In the Kupiansk sector, Russian troops attempted to advance twice. On the Lyman axis, they mounted 20 breakthrough attempts. The occupiers stormed positions 16 times in the Sloviansk area and carried out 1 assault near Kramatorsk. In the Kostiantynivka direction, Russian forces launched 14 attacks, while Ukrainian defenders repelled 28 assault actions on the Pokrovsk front.

On the Oleksandrivka axis, invaders tried to attack three times, and 22 assaults occurred in the Huliaipole sector. Ukrainian troops stopped 1 attempt to advance in the Orikhiv direction, while no active offensive operations were recorded on the Prydniprovskyi axis.

This marks day 1,581 of the full-scale war in Ukraine, with the frontline remaining highly volatile amid relentless shelling and assaults by Russian forces. Ukraine’s defense forces continue to resist the aggression, inflicting losses on the enemy by striking:

  • 11 areas where personnel were concentrated
  • 4 artillery systems
  • 3 drone control centers
