Yuriy Haievyy, the commander of a unit from Prykarpattia, dreamed of becoming a rescuer since childhood. He followed the rescuers from the fire department and decided to join them to save lives.
After 22 years of service, hundreds of dispatches, and saving dozens of lives, Yuriy emphasizes that his job is not just about heroism, but about responsibility. He served in frontline regions, participated in extinguishing forest fires, and dealing with the aftermath of emergencies.
“This job is not about heroism, but about responsibility. There is no place for fear, as my colleagues are always beside me, whom I can always rely on. We support each other, and this gives us strength,” says Yuriy.
Outside of service, Yuriy is a devoted father of two daughters and a loving husband. Family is his main support that helps him through difficult moments during outings.
