Ukraine and Brittany Hold High-Level Talks
For the first time, the president of France’s Brittany region, Loïg Chesnais-Girard, traveled to Ukraine to meet with Deputy Foreign Minister Yevhen Perebyinis. Their discussion centered on the partnership between Brittany and Ukraine’s Kherson region—a cooperation agreement officially launched in February 2026. This visit marks a significant step in regional diplomacy between the two areas.
During the meeting, officials highlighted the delivery of over 1,000 kilometers of fishing nets, donated by Breton fishermen to help shield against Russian drones. The initiative underscores grassroots support from Brittany for Ukraine’s defense against foreign aggression.
