Oleksandr Klymenko's 2025 Financial Declaration

Oleksandr Klymenko, the head of Ukraine's Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office (SAPO), has declared a total income exceeding 5 million hryvnias for the year 2025. This figure includes a one-time payment of 764,000 hryvnias received in December, with approximately 1 million hryvnias earned in that month alone. The bulk of his annual earnings came from his salary, with average monthly payments ranging between 150,000 and 160,000 hryvnias.

Assets and Property Holdings

Klymenko's official asset declaration lists his property and usage rights. His personal holdings consist of:

  • A room measuring 18.5 square meters;
  • A plot of land in the village of Dmytrivka near Kyiv.

His wife has the right to free use of a 78-square-meter apartment in Kyiv, owned by Oleksandr Laptii. She also rents two parking spaces.

While Klymenko does not own a car, he declared the right to use a 2012 Volkswagen CC, owned by Oksana Rakitina. His wife owns a Mini Cooper Countryman. The declaration further reveals that Klymenko holds over 5 million hryvnias in bank accounts and has declared cash holdings exceeding $139,000 USD.

Oleksandr Klymenko, a former detective with the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU), was appointed to lead SAPO in the summer of 2022. In late 2025, former SAPO prosecutor Stanislav Bronevytskyi accused Klymenko of illegally obtaining an attorney's license.

Enhanced financial transparency for public officials is a cornerstone of Ukraine's anti-corruption reforms, making such disclosures vital for public oversight. The ongoing allegations against Klymenko could potentially impact both his personal standing and the operational credibility of the institution he leads.

As transparency in financial disclosures remains crucial in the fight against corruption, the recent acquisition of a luxury electric vehicle by a prominent public official's spouse raises further questions about wealth accumulation among Ukraine's elite.
