Ukrainian Parliament Speaker Announces Father's Death: Honored Physician Oleksii Stefanchuk Dies at 75

Oleksii Stefanchuk Has Died

The Chairman of Ukraine's Verkhovna Rada, Ruslan Stefanchuk, has announced the passing of his father, Oleksii Stefanchuk, a physician honored by the state. Oleksii Stefanchuk died at the age of 75 following a prolonged illness. He was a distinguished orthopedic traumatologist who received his education at the Ternopil State Medical Institute.

In 1999, Oleksii Stefanchuk became head of the traumatology department at Khmelnytskyi City Hospital, and from 2000, he worked as the city's part-time consulting traumatologist. He was credited with seven inventions and process improvement proposals. In June 2013, he was awarded the title of Honored Doctor of Ukraine, and also received a Certificate of Honor from the Ministry of Health of Ukraine and a letter of gratitude from the President of Ukraine.

Recent Losses in Ukraine

Amid this sad news, it is also worth noting the recent death of People's Artist of Ukraine Tamara Plashenko, who died at 71, and the fatal accident involving Servant of the People party MP Orest Salamakha. The accident occurred in the village of Sokilnyky, Lviv region, where Orest Salamakha, driving a quad bike, crossed into oncoming traffic and collided with a bus. He was hospitalized but doctors pronounced him dead at 8:00 PM.

Ruslan Stefanchuk shared his feelings, stating: 'Dad... Dearest... Loved... I love... I will always love and remember.'

The death of Oleksii Stefanchuk represents a significant loss not only for his family but also for Ukraine's medical community, where he left a notable mark as a specialist. His achievements in medicine, including his inventions and proposals, attest to his dedication and professionalism.
