The Ukrainian parliamentary committee dealing with anti-corruption policy held a meeting yesterday where the results of the investigation into corruption in the energy sector and other areas were discussed.
According to the lawsuits from the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office and based on the materials of the National Agency for Prevention of Corruption, the High Anti-Corruption Court made a number of decisions on the confiscation of unexplained assets.
In particular, a corruption scheme was uncovered in the maritime transport sector, where the National Anti-Corruption Bureau and the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office disclosed facts of asset appropriation at the state enterprise 'Chorazmorshlyakh'.
Moreover, significant events are occurring not only in the energy sector. In 2022, the National Anti-Corruption Bureau and the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office are investigating five important cases related to corruption.
Ukraine continues to actively combat corruption in various sectors and is taking decisive measures to prevent this negative phenomenon.
