New sanctions against Russian entities and support for aggression
Ukraine plans to impose several more sanctions against Russian entities and those who support Russian aggression by the end of this year. Among them will be individuals cooperating with the Russian military-industrial complex, including representatives from Russia and China.
Sanctions are also planned against those who justify Russian aggression through mass culture, as well as to punish athletes who glorify Russian aggression during competitions.
Cooperation with Europe and new sanctions
Ukraine is actively interacting with European partners to agree on a new package of EU sanctions aimed at increasing pressure on Putin's energy assets and loyal oligarchs.
Moreover, Canada is preparing its own sanctions, and Ukraine also plans to adopt new decisions and decrees regarding sanctions soon.
We are preparing a number of new sanctions decisions against Russian entities and those who support Russian aggression by the end of this year. At least one package of sanctions will be issued against individuals cooperating with the Russian military-industrial complex, including not only individuals from Russia, but also specifically from China. We are also preparing sanctions steps against those who justify Russian aggression and promote Russian influence through mass culture, as well as against athletes who use their careers and the attention of viewers to glorify Russian aggression.
We are cooperating with European institutions to coordinate the details of the 20th package of EU sanctions aimed at increasing pressure on Putin's energy assets and the oligarchs associated with him. Canada is also developing a new package of sanctions – thank you for this work. Ukraine will also continue the synchronization of sanctions – relevant decisions and decrees of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine will be adopted soon.
