Today, cloudy weather with clearings is expected in Ukraine, but in some regions, hail and squalls are possible. This was reported by 'Ukrgidrometcenter'.
Forecasters predict moderate rains in the western, Vinnitsa, Zhytomyr, Kyiv, Cherkasy, Kirovohrad, Odesa, and Mykolaiv regions. Hail and squalls with speeds of 15-20 m/s may occur in the western part of the country. No precipitation is forecasted in other regions.
The wind will be northeast, and then in the west of the country, it will change direction to south, with speeds of 7-12 m/s. Nighttime air temperature will range from 17 to 22 degrees, and daytime temperatures will range from 25 to 30 degrees. In the west, temperatures are expected to be 21-26 degrees, while in the south and southeast, it may reach up to 34 degrees with intense heat of 35-38 degrees.
Forecast for August
According to meteorologists, the next month will be hot and dry. The average air temperature may exceed the climatic norm by 1.5-2 degrees. It is expected that the average temperature will vary from 20 to 26 degrees, which is above normal. In the western regions and in the Carpathians, the temperature will be slightly lower - 17-20 degrees.
The monthly amount of precipitation expected in August is within 23-40 mm, which is less than the norm. In the western regions and in the Carpathians, there may be a bit more precipitation - 60-77 mm, but still within the norm.
According to the forecast, today, cloudy weather with possible hail and squally winds is expected in Ukraine, as well as a hot August with high temperatures and insufficient precipitation in some regions.
