The Grenadier from Kyiv died in battles in Luhansk region. Let's remember Andrii Yura

Every day at 9 o'clock, Ukrainians honor the memory of those who died in the Russian-Ukrainian war. Today we remember the hero of our time – Andrii Yura.



Defender Andrii Yura died while performing a combat mission in the area of the village of Stelmakhivka in the Svatove district of Luhansk region. This was reported by 'Glavkom' referring to the head of the Obolon district of the capital, Kyrylo Fesik.



Andrii Yura was born on October 16, 1987, in Kyiv. He completed his schooling at school No. 128 and then obtained a bachelor's degree at Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv.



Warrior and Hero


On April 27, 2023, Andrii was called up for military service. He served in military unit 3018, which was part of the fourth operational brigade named after Hero of Ukraine Sergeant Serhii Mikhaliuk.


After training, he was sent to the Bakhmut direction, where he proved himself to be a brave fighter. After being wounded, he underwent treatment and rehabilitation, and after returning to health, he went to the Luhansk direction.


On September 29, 2024, during an enemy assault, Andrii died while protecting his comrades from enemy fire.


According to his relatives, Andrii Yura was a brave fighter and a devoted patriot who was always ready to make sacrifices for victory.


'Glavkom' joins a moment of silence, honoring the memory of those who gave their lives for the freedom of Ukraine in the war against Russian occupiers.



The publication highlights the valor and courage of Andrii Yura, who gave his life for his country and his comrades while fighting against the enemy. Relatives, comrades, and the Ukrainian society as a whole honor the memory of heroes who became victims of the war in eastern Ukraine.
