Grants up to 32 thousand hryvnias for IDPs in Lviv region: how to obtain for business or retraining

Residents of the Lviv region have the opportunity to receive grants of up to 32 thousand hryvnias for starting their own business or acquiring a new profession within the 'Family to Family: Individual Support' project. This program is aimed at households that have the status of internally displaced persons (IDPs).

Areas of use of grant funds

Financial assistance of 32,400 hryvnias can be received in three areas:

  • Agriculture: grant funds can be spent on purchasing seeds, fertilizers, feed, livestock, as well as equipment for gardening or poultry farming.
  • Business support: includes the purchase of inventory, materials, renovation of premises, or service improvements.
  • Retraining: involves payment for courses to master a new specialty.

The deadline for submitting an application for the grant lasts until January 31, 2026. Key requirements for participation in the program include having an official IDP certificate and the absence of similar grant support for agricultural activities in the past year. The project is implemented by 'Caritas-Spes' of the Lviv Archdiocese of the Roman Catholic Church. A similar program also operates in Ternopil, Ivano-Frankivsk, and Chernivtsi regions.

This program is an important step in supporting internally displaced persons who face difficulties adapting to new living conditions. Providing financial assistance can contribute not only to the development of entrepreneurship but also to increasing professional qualifications, which, in turn, will help IDPs integrate into the local economy. Such initiatives are also part of a broader policy of supporting IDPs in Ukraine, which includes various forms of assistance and social adaptation.
