Kyiv residents were reminded that money for unused trips under old tariffs has not expired, but is stored in the ‘Wallet’ of the transport card. They can be spent on new trips or other transport products. Previously, the city refunded money for old trips. This was reported by Kyiv Digital.
How to buy new trips with money from the Wallet
To use the refunded money, you need to open the Kyiv Digital app and go to the ‘Transport Card’ section. After selecting the required card, you must open ‘My Wallet’.
Next, the user must click ‘Purchase trips’, select the necessary quantity, and pay for them with the funds stored in the balance.
Money can be used not only for purchasing individual trips. They are also available for other transport services, including passes. If you can’t perform such an operation independently, Kyiv Digital advises contacting technical support.
The refund of funds is related to changes in tariffs in the capital. From July 15, 2026, a single trip costs 30 UAH, but with a transport card, you can pay less for the ride if you buy packages.
Depending on the number of purchased trips, their cost decreases. For example, a package of 50 trips allows paying 25 UAH instead of the basic 30 UAH.
Where to go if the money is not displayed
Old trips purchased before the tariff increase could be used until September 14. After the transition period ended, their unused value was converted into a monetary equivalent.
If there are problems with the ‘Wallet’, purchasing trips or passes, passengers can contact technical support at (044) 366-55-55.

Thus, unused old trips have essentially transformed into money on the transport balance. Passengers do not need to lose the remaining balance or submit a separate application for its use.
