The government announced new winter payments: who is entitled to thousands of hryvnias

Prime Minister Yuliya Svyrydenko announced the government's plans to expand the winter support package for citizens, which includes both existing programs and new forms of assistance. This initiative aims to protect the most vulnerable segments of the population and ensure a smooth heating season.

The government plans to include both existing measures, such as fixed prices for energy resources for the population, housing subsidies, and support for energy efficiency in housing cooperatives, as well as new support tools, including one-time winter payments for all citizens, targeted cash assistance for those affected by the war and the unemployed, free rail travel within Ukraine, and comprehensive medical check-ups for individuals over 40.

The Ministry of Social Policy promises to publish the full list of measures and conditions for receiving them soon, as well as to provide additional information about new forms of support in the near future.
