Ukrhydrometcentre warned about heat up to 37 degrees: where rain is expected

On Monday, September 1, short-term rains and thunderstorms are expected in southern Ukraine, and precipitation is also possible in the central, eastern regions, and Sumy region - reports Ukrhydrometcentre.

In most parts of the territory, dry weather is expected. The wind will blow from the northeast at a speed of 5-10 m/s. At night, the temperature will be around 13-18°C, while in the south it will rise to 21°C. During the day, the air temperature will fluctuate between 26-31°C, in the eastern regions it may reach 30-34°C, and in places even up to 37°C.



Weather in Kyiv


In Kyiv, on September 1, no precipitation is forecasted. A northeast wind of 5-10 m/s is expected. The temperature at night will range from 16 to 18°C, while during the day the air will warm up to 30°C. According to the Central Geophysical Observatory named after Boris Sreznevsky, the highest temperature on this day in the capital was recorded in 2015 at +35.5°C, while the lowest was in 1924, when thermometers showed +6.5°C.



Forecast for September 2


On Tuesday, September 2, forecasters predict precipitation in the eastern and southeastern regions, as well as at night in most central regions. In the rest of the territory, dry weather is expected. The wind will blow from the northeast at a speed of 5-10 m/s. At night, the temperature will be 13-18°C, during the day 26-31°C, and in the south and east it will reach 29-34°C.



In the capital, no precipitation is expected on September 2 either. The wind will be northeast, 5-10 m/s. The temperature at night will remain at 16-18°C, during the day it will rise to 27-29°C.


On September 1, rains and thunderstorms are expected in the south and some central regions, so residents of these areas should be prepared for changes in weather conditions. The air temperature will be high, with especially warm readings in the eastern regions. However, no precipitation is expected in the capital, and Kyiv residents can enjoy dry and warm weather. On the following day, September 2, precipitation is expected again in the eastern regions, while elsewhere in the country it should be sunny and warm.
