An explosion in Luhansk on August 22 resulted in the death of Russian soldiers who participated in the killing of civilians in Bucha. This was reported by the press service of the Main Intelligence Directorate, spreading the relevant information.

According to the GUR, an explosion occurred in the temporarily occupied settlement of Kalynove in the Alchevsk district of Luhansk region, resulting in the deaths of Russian soldiers and the destruction of ammunition.

According to preliminary data, the explosion occurred in the yard of a house where six Russian soldiers were together with their military transport. As a result of the detonation, the invaders who tried to avoid responsibility were injured.

Covert intelligence actions

Intelligence representatives noted that Russian soldiers involved in the crimes in Bucha were in Luhansk, defending an enemy military repair base from air strikes as a mobile group. The result of the explosion was the destruction of two enemy pickups with machine guns, a UAZ 'bukhanka' with ammunition, and three Russian occupiers, including two seriously wounded.

However, the intelligence refrains from commenting on the possible involvement in the explosion. It should be noted that Ukraine expressed concern over the presence of troops from the other side of the border.

After the explosion in Luhansk, which resulted in the deaths of Russian soldiers, questions arose regarding the possible involvement of the Ukrainian side in the event. Ukraine expressed concern over the presence of occupation troops on its territory and at the border with Russia, which supports tensions in the region.
