On the night of August 24, units of the Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, together with other armed forces, attacked an oil refinery in Russia. The target was the Syzran oil refinery in the Samara region. This was reported by the «Glavkom» citing the General Staff.
According to the HUR, the capacity of the Syzran oil refinery reaches 8.5 million tons of oil per year, which accounts for over 3% of the total volume of oil refining in the Russian Federation. The plant specializes in the production of fuel and aviation kerosene, which are supplied to Russian troops.

Currently, search operations are being conducted at the refinery, explosions and incidents are ongoing. It is emphasized that this operation is aimed at reducing the combat potential of the Russian troops and destabilizing their logistics network, with the aim of abandoning armed actions.
Explosion in Kalynove: Russian troops eliminated
In addition, recently there was an explosion in temporarily occupied Kalynove in the Luhansk region, which resulted in the destruction of several Russian soldiers involved in war crimes in Bucha. This was reported by the Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine according to information from «Glavkom».
As a result of a joint operation by Ukrainian military intelligence units, oil refining infrastructure facilities in the Russian Federation and Russian military personnel in the conflict zone in eastern Ukraine were destroyed, causing significant losses for the opponent and serving as a positive move for the Ukrainian army in the fight for its territorial integrity.
