Operation of the Main Directorate of Intelligence
The Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine carried out an operation on the territory of Russia, as a result of which two Su-30 fighter jets were destroyed at a military airfield near Lipetsk. The operation took place on the night of December 20 to 21, 2025, accompanied by a fire outbreak at the airfield, which led to damage to both aircraft.
According to the information, the estimated cost of the destroyed fighter jets may amount to up to 100 million dollars. Initially, it was reported that two Su-30s and one Su-27 were hit, but it was later clarified that only two Su-30s were affected. It is known that the aircraft had tail numbers '12' and '82'.
Importance of the Operation
The planning of the special operation lasted for two weeks, and its implementation was handled by a representative of the resistance movement against the criminal Russian regime. According to the press service of the GUR,
“as a result of the operation of the GUR of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, both military aircraft of the aggressor were rendered inoperative”.
This operation is another testament to the active actions of Ukrainian forces in response to aggression from Russia.
