Charity Concert by 'Druha Rika'

To mark their 30th anniversary, the Ukrainian rock band 'Druha Rika' held a major charity concert at the Palace of Sports in Kyiv. The event, which drew a large crowd, was dedicated to raising funds for Ukraine's Defence Intelligence (GUR MO). During the performance, the band also debuted their new album. Through ticket sales and direct donations, the concert successfully raised over 3 million Ukrainian hryvnias (UAH) towards an overall fundraising goal of 15 million UAH.

Purpose of the Funds Raised

The money collected is intended to purchase critical equipment for Ukraine's military intelligence, including:

  • An evacuation boat for rescue missions
  • MAVIC 3T drones
  • Server hardware

“An evening for the history books. Thirty years is a lot of stories, music, and roads. But the most important thing is you. Because without you, this story simply wouldn't exist. Thank you to everyone who has been with us all these years. Thank you for choosing to spend last night's important evening with us. We created this show together! It was legendary! Until we meet again!”

Thus, the concert was not just a musical celebration but also a significant event in support of Ukraine's armed forces. 'Druha Rika' demonstrated strong social responsibility by uniting their fans around a charitable cause. This benefit concert highlights how cultural figures in Ukraine are actively contributing to the nation's defense efforts during the ongoing war. The funds will provide vital equipment that can directly enhance the operational capabilities of Ukrainian intelligence units.

The band's initiative underscores the powerful role music can play beyond entertainment, serving as a tool for social impact and national solidarity in a time of conflict. The purchased equipment is expected to make a tangible difference in the field, aiding in reconnaissance, evacuation, and communication.
