In Kharkiv, preparations are underway for a new major purchase of public transport. The KP "Trolleybus Depot No. 3" has announced a tender for 39 used buses with a total expected value of 87.3 million UAH. This is reported by the Kharkiv Anti-Corruption Center.
What buses are planned to be purchased for Kharkiv
According to the tender conditions, the city plans to obtain 39 low-floor buses of one model. The year of manufacture must not be earlier than 2012.
Each bus must accommodate at least 80 passengers: technical requirements stipulate 40 seats and another 40 for standing passengers.
The approximate cost of one vehicle is 2.24 million UAH. Buses must be delivered in batches of at least five units, and the winner of the tender must fully execute the contract by August 31, 2027.
In total, the city’s communal carrier is prepared to spend up to 87.3 million UAH on this purchase.
Kharkiv has purchased used buses before
This is not the first major bus purchase by Kharkiv's communal enterprises. In 2025, the KP "Saltiv Tram Depot" planned to buy 85 units for 229.98 million UAH. At that time, one bus was estimated at approximately 2.7 million UAH.
The winner of the tender was LLC "Mavel Ukraine". However, after signing several additional agreements, the purchase volume was reduced to 46 buses, and the total contract amount was 93 million UAH. Thus, one vehicle cost slightly more than 2 million UAH.
According to the "E-Data" portal, at the time of publication, the supplier had received one payment of 22.27 million UAH. Meanwhile, the buses delivered as part of this procurement can already be seen on Kharkiv routes.
The Kharkiv Anti-Corruption Center points out that the previous agreement has not yet been closed, while another communal enterprise is already conducting a new tender for dozens of buses.
