In Kyiv, preparations are underway to amend the rules for transporting dogs in the metro. As reported by the metro press service, new restrictions and requirements for dog owners are planned.

In particular, small dogs will be required to use special carriers with waterproof or absorbent bottoms to maintain cleanliness in the metro. Dog owners of larger dogs are advised to use muzzles and short leashes for better control over their pets.

It is planned to allow the transportation of dogs only in the first and last metro cars, but during hours of lower passenger traffic. Passengers are urged to adhere to hygiene rules and not cause inconvenience to others.

The Kyiv City Council is conducting a survey through the 'Kyiv Digital' app together with the UAnimals organization to gather residents' opinions on the planned changes. The results of the survey will determine the future of the pilot project for transporting dogs in the metro.

Expertise and Improvements

During the testing phase, specialists will assess how the new rules affect the safety and comfort of passengers. If necessary, the rules will be adjusted to achieve an optimal balance between convenience and safety in the metro. At the same time, dog owners must responsibly manage their animals' behavior to avoid any inconveniences for passengers.

In Kyiv, preparations are being made to implement new dog transportation rules in the metro, particularly regarding the use of carriers and animal control. The city authorities are conducting a survey to determine public opinion, as well as planning to adjust rules considering the safety and comfort of passengers.
