The epidemic season 2025/2026 continues in our country. In the last week, from December 1 to 7, medical institutions registered 125,438 cases of flu, COVID-19, and other acute respiratory viral infections (ARVI). This is 2.3% more than the previous week. 75,750 children were reported infected.

In terms of COVID-19, 439 cases were confirmed, which is 16.3% less than the previous week. 1,246 adults and 1,865 children were hospitalized and received necessary assistance due to complications from ARVI, flu, and COVID-19.

Incidence Rates

The incidence corresponds to seasonal norms in most regions. Only in Ivano-Frankivsk region was a slight excess of the epidemic threshold recorded, while in Zhytomyr region the incidence level returned to the previous level.

Since the beginning of the season, 1,199,991 people have been ill (+2.9% compared to the same period last year), and 17,833 cases of COVID-19 have been registered.

How to Recognize the Infection?

Flu begins suddenly: high fever, chills, headache, dry cough. COVID-19 develops gradually: fever, cough, weakness, sore throat, loss of smell or taste.

If you notice the first symptoms of the disease, do not self-medicate. Consult a doctor. Be careful: stay at home, use your own dishes, wash your hands, and follow other preventive measures.

The epidemic season 2025/2026 continues in Ukraine. Monitoring of the incidence shows an increase in cases of ARVI, flu, and COVID-19. It is important to be cautious and follow preventive rules to avoid the spread of infections.
