Minister Ihor Klymenko met with the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany in Ukraine, Heiko Thomas. During the meeting, he thanked Germany for the support received by Ukrainian rescuers, police, border guards, national guards, and Ministry of Internal Affairs experts.
The parties discussed ways to protect people's lives in conditions of ongoing war. Germany, as one of the partners, is actively working with Ukraine to strengthen the capabilities of services in investigating war crimes, identifying the deceased, securing the border, and protecting critical infrastructure.
“The assistance received from partners is working where it is needed,” noted Ihor Klymenko.
More than 600 units of special equipment provided by the German side are already being used by Ukrainian rescuers - from cherry pickers and excavators to fire-fighting robots. This equipment helps during rescue operations after enemy attacks. This truly confirms the strength of the partnership between Ukraine and Germany.
“We appreciate the cooperation with Germany, which helps us build a security system for the protection of people in the most difficult times,” emphasized the Minister.
