President Volodymyr Zelensky noted that Russian aggression in Ukraine is rapidly escalating due to the inaction of the international community. Night bombings and artillery shelling in Zaporizhzhia caused serious destruction and injuries among the civilian population, resulting in casualties.
Additionally, serious strikes by Russian troops have fallen on Kyiv region, Kharkiv region, Sumy region, Donetsk region, Zaporizhzhia, and Kherson regions. The president emphasized that Russia continues to wage war, as it will avoid diplomacy and peaceful resolution of the conflict until it feels real losses, including economic ones.
Zelensky urged the global community to take decisive measures against Russia, to impose strong sanctions and tariffs, to protect the lives of Ukrainians and to bring about a cessation of hostilities.
