The 'Secret St. Nicholas 2026' Campaign
The public organization 'National Alliance' has launched the 'Secret St. Nicholas 2026' initiative, designed to bring together people from all regions of Ukraine by exchanging holiday gifts ahead of St. Nicholas Day, celebrated on December 6. This campaign highlights the cherished Ukrainian tradition of honoring St. Nicholas, the patron saint of children and a symbol of compassion, spreading warmth and genuine kindness across communities.
Participants will be paired with a 'secret friend' from a different part of Ukraine. Registration is open until November 16, 2026. Within one to two days after registration closes, each participant will receive details about their gift recipient. The goal is to prepare and send a present in time for St. Nicholas Day.
“Where you come from doesn’t matter. What counts is the warmth you are ready to share,” the organizers emphasize.
How to get involved:
- Sign up by November 16 via the provided link;
- Receive information about your assigned recipient within 1-2 days after registering;
- Prepare and send your gift before December 6.
Up-to-date details and guidance are available through the National Alliance's social media channels.
The Purpose Behind the Initiative
